Colter Harris' career on set began as a location manager for a Christopher Coppola film. It was during the making of his own two shorts, "Nu Metal Will Never Die" and "The Secret Life of James Joyce" – both period films – that he fell in love with the research and attention to detail involved in designing and decorating a set. Since then, he's sought more opportunities to work in the field. He has worked on several award-winning short films, a pilot, and a commercial shoot for ARRI Studios.
